Susie and her beautiful horses are fantastic.  I was searching for a way to weave some peace and calmness into our hectic lives, and riding lessons with Susie were just what we needed.  I saw an immediate positive reaction to the horses and lessons by my son, and I'm thrilled with our experience.

Olivia just said to me "Mama, today I realized that learning is fun!" I said, "Oh really, that's great! How did you realize that?" She said "I realized that today at horse camp." We've had a difficult time this past year getting Olivia interested in doing her homework, staying focused, etc. I can't tell you how awesome this was to hear!!! Olivia and Austin are having a wonderful time at camp. They are so excited to tell dad all about it when he gets home. Just had to share. Thank you so much. :)

We had a wonderful time with you all. The girls had a lot of fun and are still talking about their experience.  They learned so much and above all learned to respect and love the animals.  We are looking forward to more horse adventures and our visit to Once Up on a Horse was a great stepping of point.

(Girl Scout Field Trip)

We celebrated my daughter's 6th birthday at Once Upon a Horse and couldn't have asked for a better experience! The owner, Susie Schramm, is WONDERFUL with children. She's encouraging and takes time to teach. The children were both mesmerized and excited by our four-hoofed friends. We will definitely recommend the barn to our friends.

(Birthday Lesson)

We attended a birthday party here and my daughter loved it. She was 5 at the time. This is a great setting for kids who have never been on a horse or around a barn environment. They got to take turns riding the horse in an arena with an adult leading the horse around and just be in the barn for a couple of hours. Every kid needs to be in this setting with horsed to appreciate animals and taking care of animals.

(Birthday Party)

This place is wonderful. We have been to 2 years worth of summer camps as well as we did a birthday party at the barn. Susie who runs the program is very good with the kids and has been riding herself for many many years. This is a good place to start riding and to really see if your kids are horse lovers. They learn about taking care of horses and the barn. My daughter fell in love with this place!
